how I started my business
I didn’t launch Tapin Services with a business plan or startup capital—I started it by trading my personal BMW for a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500. A mechanic I’d trusted for years helped me install new parts and get the truck road-ready. After seeing the time and money I poured into it, he offered me a shot at hauling off a massive scrap pile from his shop. I took the job, made solid money, and realized something important: people and businesses actually pay to have junk and scrap removed.
That first haul sparked something. I started picking up small jobs after work and on weekends, and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed helping people clear their space. It wasn’t just about hauling junk—it was about making life easier for folks, one load at a time.
Eventually, I went all-in. I upgraded to a 2018 Ram 2500, invested in trailers, and built Tapin Services into a full-time operation. Today, we’re licensed, insured, and proudly serving the Triad area with eco-friendly, hassle-free junk removal and demolition services.
